Ida Teiti was born in Tahiti, and at the age of 9 came to Hawaii as a Hanai (adopted) daughter of Don and Josie Over. For as long as she can remember, Ida walked to the beat of her own drum whenever fashion was involved. For over 20 years she has worn the colorful Polynesian pareo as her primary article of clothing. Whether as a dress, skirt or wrap-around, the bright, a flowing pareo marked her out from the crowd.
Ida took her inspiration from the beautiful women of Tahiti, who make it a point to dress with elegance and elan, whether they are out to a fine ball or to the supermarket. One will often see these handsome women of Tahiti wearing flowing, brightly hued apparel anywhere one might look. With this history, Tiare Teiti was born. With designer, Mico, the gifted French artist who designs the hand painted pareo, Ida creates an assortment of elegant evening gowns, fun beach cover-ups and sun dresses. The colors are very Tahiti, the styles really hip and the designs pure excitement! Enjoy!!!
